Criteria

Members of the Malden High School Beta Club are made up from among the students of the ninth, tenth, 11th, and 12th grades of the Malden High School.  Students must be approved by executive head of Malden High School because of their worthy character, good mentality, creditable achievements, and commendable attitudes, and these students must meet the requirements set forth in the Malden High School Beta By-Laws.

Members of the Malden Beta Club are required to attend all meetings. Regular meetings are to be held at on a regular basis at a scheduled time and place. Failure to do so may result in loss of membership if he/she is absent, without a justifiable reason, from three regular meetings.

Malden Betas are expected to maintain an overall B (8.0) average. If a member’s grade-point average drops below an 8.0 for one quarter, the member will be put on probation for one quarter to raise his/her scholastic record to the 8.0 average required for membership. During probation, members are still expected to participate in all club activities.

Betas must participate in every project and activity the club assumes.  A member may miss no more than one project or event.  Members are expected to participate in and meet the requirements of all fundraisers in order to attend the state and national conventions.

Sponsors can remove any Beta from the club for lack of participation, scholastic, moral, or disciplinary reasons.
